We are very pleased and excited you have come to visit Fount of Life Lutheran Church. Below you will find information about our church, ministries, online media, and other programs. We can't wait to see you at Worship!  Want to become a Member of Fount of Life?

At FOL we offer Bible Information Classes throughout the year either on a schedule, or at times we are able to meet at a time and place more convenient to you.  These BICs take a look at what Scripture teaches and what we as Lutheran Christians believe.  These work well for people who have never really studied the Bible before, or as a review for people who have previously studied the basics of the Christian faith.  And the classes work well for someone who wants to compare what they have come to know about Christianity through a denomination other than Lutheran.
Upon completion, a student is then ready to join FOL as a communicant member.  Until that time, we have many who regularly attend worship with us, as well as participate in areas of service and fellowship.
FOL has recently begun a new BIC class, so please e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

Welcome Vicar (Ross) and Charissa Chartrand!

This past week FOL welcomed new Vicar Ross & Charissa Chartrand to Colorado Springs to serve our congregation throughout the next year.

Ross is the youngest of three sons born to Dean and Stephanie Chartrand from Manassas, VA. He grew up in Northern Virginia, attending Grace Lutheran School in Falls Church, VA before heading up north to Watertown, WI, to Luther Preparatory School. After graduating in 2009 he continued to migrate into colder climates while attending Martin Luther College (MLC) in New Ulm, MN. After earning his degree in four years, he returned to the Milwaukee area to continue his pastoral training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon. Ross played soccer, football, and tennis in high school, and continued his soccer career into his collegiate years.

Charissa is the second youngest of fourteen children born to Pastor Ralph and Annette Scharf, originally from West Allis, WI (a suburb of Milwaukee). She attended Good Shepherd's Lutheran School in West Allis before attending Luther Preparatory School. Charissa graduated from LPS in 2009 and began her formal teacher training at MLC in New Ulm. She took a year off from formal schooling to teach English in South American at the Collegio de los Angelos (a WELS grade school) in Bogota, Colombia in 2013. Upon her return she student taught in Kenosha, WI and received her degree in May of 2014. She served last school year as a tutor (teacher/dorm supervisor/sports coach) at her alma mater of Luther Prep. Charissa played volleyball and basketball throughout her grade school and high school years, and coached freshman volleyball while tutoring.

Charissa and Ross were married on August 8th, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville, WI. They love sports and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. They can't wait to explore all that Colorado has to offer. But more importantly, they are immensely excited to work alongside the members of Fount of Life with all the wonderful opportunities God has given to this church.
